Keith L. Woods

Mr. Keith L. Woods is a trial lawyer, with special emphasis in commercial and personal injury litigation. Mr. Woods has first-chair litigation experience in a wide range of legal matters. His practice typically includes representation of clients in lawsuits and arbitration proceedings concerning breach of contract, employer-employee issues, fraud, misrepresentation, DTPA, business torts, real estate disputes, construction disputes, insurance, product liability, industrial and vehicular accidents, and other common law related issues. Mr. Woods has also handled appeals in state and federal court, and for several years, practiced exclusively criminal defense with the law firm of Helixon & Woods. Although one usually hopes his services are not needed in this area, Mr. Woods is available to consult regarding any criminal defense need should it arise.

Mr. Woods is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He received a Juris Doctorate degree from South Texas College of Law in 1993. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Texas in 1988.

In addition to a number of awards received, Mr. Woods was twice selected to participate in the National Debate Tournament and was selected by the United States to participate in a public debate with then-members of the Soviet Union.

Mr. Woods is a member of the Texas State Bar, Houston Bar Association, American Bar Association and the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit. He is admitted to practice before all Texas state courts, the United States District Court for the Western and Southern Districts of Texas, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
